Sarah

New obsession: maternity shoots. nuff' said. oh and my 35 mm lense. yerp.
Sarah is weeks away from having her third baby and is waiting to find out the gender which is killing me! But knowing the recent trend of boys in our group it's probably a boy but we will see!  All these boys will need some girls to balance out their testosterone.  Anyway, Sarah's super creative, laid back, fun, and just plain easy to photograph as you will see.  Oh and that dog is pete-y (petie) how do you spell it?? And he has one eye because another dog attacked him (poor guy) and he's really weird but really cute so I had to include him. You will probably also recognize her crazy beautiful daughter Story who woke up from her nap in the middle of the session and joined us:)

Aimee

There's nothing I love more than a quiet intimate shoot in a home. Be it a mother, kids playing with their toys, families piling on a couch, or a bride putting on a wedding dress on her wedding day, I sincerely love it. On these cold winter days when you're home with your kids, how awesome would it be to have pictures of them making forts or cuddling with you on the couch? Did I mention I LOVE doing sessions in homes?? :) Anyway, this beautiful lady is Aimee and she's having her little boy here pretty soon:)  Once again, another one of my friends that's having a boy! I can't wait to take a picture of all of these crazy boys together once they are all here:)

The proposal

So I get a call from Austan who said he was going to propose to my friend Ashley at the library downtown and asked if I could take pictures for it.
And of course I said heck yes.
Here was his genius plan in short: He said he was coming up with a resume for a job and wanted Ashley to proofread it before he printed it at the library.  She is an English teacher so this seemed natural of course and they had printed several things there before.  So they met at the library at 6:30 p.m. Meanwhile, my job was to hide between these bookcases below and get 'the shot' in between the books without her hearing or seeing me, in the quietest library of all time I might add ha!
On the resume his objective stated something to the effect of becoming her husband and loving her the rest of his life, and it had all of the qualifications of why he should marry him (super cute!). Even had references, such as her father. Needless to say when it was all said and done, I've never seen Ashley so happy!
But I'll let the pictures tell you the rest of the story.
